The Lancaster Canal
Much of the Lancaster Canal is navigable, and can be reached from the main network, albeit for those intrepid enough to take the ‘Ribble Link’. However the southern section into Preston and the section north of Carnforth are gone. Much of the northern section remains but has forever been severed from the rest of the network by the M6 motorway.
The Walton Summit line and tramway linking to the Leeds & Liverpool are shown.
